Can’t wait…
My communication on the blog has waned dramatically, due to technical difficulties.
Several weeks ago, a ship in the Persian Gulf dropped anchor on the transatlantic fiber connection that provides the primary data services to this theatre.
They cut all internet access for awhile and finally repaired it. It’s up now, but they are preventing all non-business websites - from being accessed. I’m writing today from a trailer that has an Internet connection for the soldiers. The Army calls it an MWR Internet Cafe. MWR stands for Morale Welfare Recreation. It isn’t quite like the Internet cafe that you have in your mind.
Anyway, I was supposed to board the aircraft today and fly home.
My first flight was bumped. My second flight was canceled. My third flight is scheduled to go out in the late morning. I also have a few connections before I cross the pond, and will hopefully be seeing my family by Valentine’s Day.
I absolutely cannot wait to see them. My excitement is building and I have stared at their pictures over-and-over.
I look forward to hugging them, holding them, kissing them, tickling them, and cherishing every moment with them all.
Hopefully, I’ll see some of you soon.
Take care,
Tim
Just the thought of you coming throught that door and the looks on Briggs’ and Gage’ faces is so emotional for me,I can only imagine how you must feel. Safe travels. Enjoy every minute!!!

All of us are anxious to have you on USA terra ferma ASAP, but as I am the voice of reason, don’t be so anxious that you are careless. Does Uncle Sam provide travel insurance? Hurry home, they are waiting for you!!!!!

What can I say to add to all the above except be prepared to be jumped, hugged, kissed and literally saturated with love. We have all missed you so very much and can wait for your arrival. Your exhaustion from the travel will be heavy upon you, but when you see your family, somehow I feel it will melt away.
