Drama

There is no gray for most people when they see me with twins. They either say in an exasperated tone , “Oh my gosh, I would not want twins.” People actually do say this. Or in a longing tone, “I always wanted twins!” None ever say, “It might be nice.”

So…I loaded them up this week for another visit to the doctor. Let me start by saying that I love our pediatrician. He has been with all of my kids since the day they were born. However, on one occasion he told me his office wasn’t necessary “equipped” to handle my brood and that “maybe” I should consider bringing some “help” when all of them have to come in, especially for vaccinations. Incidentally, this was the visit when Gage got lost and I found him stuck on the elevator.

Anyway, I left the appointment with sweaty armpits despite the six degree wind chill outside. Total and complete drama from two itty-bitty girls! I thought to myself…this is definitely a sign of things to come. The drama. The drama. The drama.

However, even with the drama I am blessed beyond words. I anticipate many dramatic moments but I look forward to with great enthusiasm…tea parties, nail polishing, braids, pony tails, singalongs, slumber parties, dress-up, and more drama.

Tim will not believe his eyes when he sees Emerson and Campbell in a few weeks. He will be meeting his ‘girls’ (no longer babies) for the first time.

  1. I’ve always thought you and Tim are extremely blessed. Your home remains a haven of love caring and lots of noise. but all feel secure within.
