Bowling and a Truck

I have been doing a lot of late-night wrestling and fire building lately. I am proud to say 1) I have some decent karate-type-ninja moves that I can throw around on my two rowdy boys and 2) I can build a mean fire.

But in an effort to get Briggs a dose of testosterone and male attention injected into his life, I called upon our dear friends Kirk and Rudi. They showed up in a big truck and went bowling. Perfect! Some of my craziness must be contagious though because before they walked out the door they asked for the Daddy Doll and a camera! HA! See some of the pictures below.

I am grateful to both of these men for teaching Briggs some valuable lessons throughout the day and making him feel like a cool kid. For those of you who don’t know…Rudi of Ruditoonz is like a celebrity to kids in Indiana. It would be like me having lunch with Julia Roberts.

I am grateful that these two men took an entire Saturday because they care enough about me, Tim and our kids. I am grateful that while these two totally different men are not Briggs’ dad they still provide a sense of love and peace.

Special thanks to…Nate and Helena for taking all four kids for a night…what a quiet house I had. Tricia for the sugarfree vanilla late and holiday cookies. Cheryl for the warm meal. Sylvia for the spaghetti and meatballs. Janice, Christina, and Gwen for a fun night with the kids. Becky and Tracy for driving Gage to/from school. Kevin for hauling my Christmas tree in. Chuck for meeting us in the Village. Jeni for a few nice chats.

  1. Great to hear the wrestling and fire-building continues = the boys love it! I know you like wrestling them too.

Briggs looks like he is having a fun time!

    I miss that boy.

  2. Ruditoonz is the best! We heard him twice while living in Yorktown. He is a Yorktown grad along w/ my friend who runs the toystore in Yorktown. The kids love his songs.

    Have fun in New York!
