Hot Hot

Okay…Tim finally sent some images. Let me get the gooey stuff out of the way first OR for the male readers…just skip to the picture collage below.

My partner looks HOT! With the exception of a short visit in late-July, I haven’t laid eyes on my husband in nearly six months. He looks 25 pounds lighter, young with a deep tan, and wearing a uniform I have never seen. Now I know 95% of the pictures he sent were of burning oil fields, hardened aircraft shelters, and a Russian Hind…but the only ‘hind I saw was his. I magnified those two pictures he was in so much just to see his face up close! To be honest though (like I’m not already), the kids were just as excited to see pictures of their dad. We have to video conference at some point. Two techno geeks and we haven’t even figured that out yet.

These images totally made my day…I felt like I saw my groom at the end of the aisle. While I was running, I realized that I often took for granted Tim walking through the door each night. I was just relieved he was there to take over so I could escape for awhile. It occurred to me I hadn’t looked at him as hot in a long time.

So…when you see your husband or wife at the end of the day tomorrow…try to look at them like you haven’t seen them in six months. You may see exactly what you walked to the alter to meet.

P.S. I am sure Tim will have more details to share about these images.

Special thanks to…My Aunt Caroline for rescuing me from insanity for a few days. She was instrumental in getting my head on straight and offered an extra set of very helpful arms. Suzy for the APB. Tricia for the Starbucks drop-off and the stuffed animals she collected. Denise for watching the girls so I could run on a beautiful Autumn day. Sara for taking Gage to the park. Sheryl Chelovitz for one of her great dinners.

  1. Just happened to be on site for the initial viewing. You are missed. They all just stared at your pictures. Me too, but just because there is something about a guy in uniform. Your family is intact and doing well. You are all really blessed to have such a wonderful network of people to lean on. Take care, stay safe. more later. By the way……regifting from Iraq?
