Big THREE!
Happy Birthday to our youngest son, Gage!
Tim is sure to observe tremendous changes in his best buddy Gage when he returns. He talks well and talks back now. He has opinions on his wardrobe…it has to either be camo or Spiderman red. He has a favorite sister he plays with and one that he picks on. He apologizes with ease. He and his brother can be the closest of buddies and the worst of enemies. He can color in between the lines. His imagination is extraordinary…especially when it comes to playing Star Wars. He has graduated from a crib and diapers. He effortlessly flips and flops on the trampoline like a kernel of popcorn. He rides a two-wheeler…fast. With the influence of Briggs and the rest of the neighborhood gang, he seems far older than three. Even though he has oodles of his own markers, he wants to play with my permanent Sharpies. But he is perfectly sweet at times. Just when I am about to blow a gasket, he will throw in a…”I wuv you this much, Mommy!” (as he spreads his arms out wide). He has learned how to work the system.
I adore Gage’s bold personality. Patrick Hohman said today, “Gage has a personality you cannot even classify. He is completely different than any kid I know.”
He makes every day funny. I know it is such an overused saying but it does go by so fast. I try to relish in the simplicity of watching my kids grow but today I am going to take special notice to Gage. Happy Birthday!

…
Special thanks to…Shannon Barron for making the yummy cupcakes for Gage’s birthday party. Everyone who endured Chuck E Cheese…especially my father who had to celebrate his birthday there too.
Gage…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I am sending you a big hug and kiss on YOUR very special day.

Helena - October 11th, 2007 at 9:30 amHappy Birthday Gage! I know I haven’t written a reply on here, but I read it every day. I just wanted to say a few things.
Heather - October 11th, 2007 at 10:31 amFirst to Tim - I am just amazed by your courage and your faithfulness to your country. I am truly grateful that there are people like you that help out our country in such a big way. I know that you know this, but Tiffany is an amazing women and mom. She is so strong and so courageous, and in the midst of it all, she is maintaining stability in your home. So be encouraged that even though you are so far away, your second-in-command back home is doing a great job leading the troops.
Tiffany - You absolutely astonish me. I don’t think I have ever met a stronger person. You have amazing courage. You are a terrific mom - even under extreme circumstances. I watch you with your children and I am trying to remember what you do, so that I can be a great mom too. I learn a lot from you. You show your children love, stability, and balance. You discipline your children when they do something bad, but it is balanced with your love for them.
To both- You have an amazing family. I have loved getting to be a part of it. I love being with your children twice a week, I actually look forward to it. Thank you for letting me! I will always try my hardest to keep them safe and happy. I want you to know that Ian and I are praying for your whole family daily. I am so excited for the day when Tim gets to come home safely! I love you all!
Heather
