Glimpses
I remember when Briggs was an infant I caught glimpses of myself as if I were looking into my own eyes. I have never really seen a whole lot of Tim in Briggs. Unfortunately, Nate claims Briggs inherited my temper…too bad that Rowe Family temper will continue to trickle down!
But boy did the tables turn when Gage came around. I see virtually no reflection of myself in Gage. He is a miniature reminder of Tim to me daily. In fact, whenever Tim gets really tired or sick his left eye droops. Well wouldn’t you know it…last week when Gage was nearing dehydration from being so sick…I looked into his eyes…and the left one was…droopy!
I told him he looked exactly like his Daddy. He also has the same demeanor…easy-going, loving, and 100 percent honest-to-the bone. It is nice to catch a glimpse of Tim now and then. We really do miss him.
But I was thinking…isn’t it amazing how not only are our physical features passed down but our character traits as well? While I am engrossed in raising ‘My Team’, I am convinced that they are all born with their personalities. We just have the enormous job of shaping them the right way.
A SWEET MESSAGE FROM GAGE
P.S. I promise I fed him more than Cheetos for lunch!
…
Special thanks to…Janice Brittsan and Christina Coe (two Army wives whose husbands are deployed with Tim) for joining us for dinner and outdoor play tonight. It was so nice to chat with others in the same circumstances. Sara and Matt for helping me setup the obnoxious (but totally fun) Halloween decorations outside our house. Patrick for putting on Gage’s first training wheels.
What a awesome kid! His video made me smile and I am sure it will make daddy smile too!!!

See you Friday Tiff.

Tell that boy his Daddy misses him!
tim - October 4th, 2007 at 2:38 pmAgain AUNT NINE from Betsy’s computer. Tim, you could send Nivea cream in the little blue tin boxes. They sell the same thing here, but you could send the ones written in Arabic. Your kids might get a kick out of comparing the writing. xoxo 9
