Coming around
I have little news other than we are finally climbing our way out of a very deep hole. I have been covered in human fluids for an entire week. I have left the house once.
I have found myself at the exact same moment having such empathy for my children and yet feeling incredibly frustrated. Poor Gage probably senses the mixed emotion because EVERY time he gets sick he apologizes. For kids who had no weight to lose, they are all several pounds lighter.
The good news (I hope) is…we are done for the season. I ask, “Could this really happen again?”
…
Special thanks to…I would like to thank everyone that has dropped off stuffed animals that we will soon be shipping to Iraq. Tim and his unit will see that they get to Iraqi children. My mother for volunteering to enter our ‘House of Germs’ and then getting sick herself. David Schumacher for spraying the perimeter of the house for spiders. My laundry ladies…Sheryl, Susan, Judy, and Barb. My father and Ken Rood for sliding in the new washer tray. Carol Kourani for a delicious meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Sheryl for warm chicken noodle soup. Barb Quinn for a quick run. Debbie Kleis for walking the girls. Tracy for the calls. Amie for the stop-by.
Glad you are on the mend and smelling better!!!:) Hope you get some time to yourself this weekend! I wish I could come!:(

My daughter is a trooper!
My thanks to all her wonderful friends for the support and concern they have shown….you have my sincere appreciation.
Okay…maybe I was wrong…we are in still in the hole.

God Bless You! Each and everytime I read your letters I am marveled at all you do with such style and grace..but this last week is the topper. I am happy you are on the other side…..
As I read your letters and watch the viedo I am always struck by two things..One what great writer you are and how funny you can be…if I am not crying I am laughing out loud. The otheris, you are an amazing woman and from all observation a wonderful mother….I think of you often and pray for Tim everyday.
Julie Kimmel - September 27th, 2007 at 3:43 amJean–she learned to be a trooper from the best!!!You taught her well! Love you both!!
