Letter from Briggs
THIS LETTER WAS COMPLETELY TYPED AND WRITTEN BY BRIGGS. I HELPED HIM SPELL ONLY THREE WORDS.
Hi daddy how are you today? Guss what today I was sick. Because I missed you. So much and also we saw my new school. I had football practice yesterday. I am going to Jack’s house on Saturday. Be safe and sound and return back home.
TO DADDY
FORM BRIGGS
Editorial Note: That is the trampoline in our backyard and Briggs has on his camo shorts.

Great picture Briggs!
n8 - August 17th, 2007 at 11:57 amBriggs has become much more introspective and quiet the past few weeks. I truly believe he has a fairly good understanding of what Daddy is doing, where he is and that danger is present. I hope we can all just hug him and listen as he always does a good job of expressing himself. Being the “man” of the family can’t be easy for a little boy of 7 & he has stepped to the plate. It is a joy to watch him be a big brother to Gage and the girls. He’s becoming quite an expert with lending a hand, keeping everyone smiling and just being Briggs.

Briggs,
I love your picture and letter! Thank you for sending the picture - it has made my week much brighter!
I’m sorry that you were sick, because I am gone. I have been sick as well - missing you, your brother, sisters and mommy.
I can’t wait to pass the football with you again and jump on the trampoline!
Thank you for being a great son!
I love you,
