He’s here…

Tim is home…what a great feeling…for him and us! I took all of the kids to meet him at the airport. He was in shock. The kids were wild with excitement. When he mobilized…Campbell had little hair, few teeth, and had just started to crawl. She is now walking! Emerson hadn’t even begun to crawl. She is close to walking, but can handle a full set of stairs on her own. Gage carries on full conversations. A less noticeable difference in Briggs other than a few more missing teeth.

I loved watching Tim’s face as he took in the kids. He has been kissing a lot of faces since he arrived. And, everyone wants his attention.

We had a great gathering with friends and neighbors tonight. We figured it was easier to open up two nights to see everyone while Tim was home so that we can spend the rest as a family. Thanks to all who showed up. We will see everyone else on Monday.

Special thanks to…my cousin, Mina. She was absolutely the sweetest and most helpful twelve year old houseguest I have ever had. I enjoyed every minute she was here. I miss her already. She was polite, clean, helpful, sweet and observant. She was the perfect mother’s helper…taking care of the babies, playing with the boys, helping cook, cleaning up, etc. We also had some private time together too which I will always cherish. We played Yahtzee nearly every night, got pedicures, ran errands, and played hangman. I hope she returns next summer. Thank you so much to my Uncle Tom and Aunt Kathy for letting Mina spread her wings.

  1. Dearest Tffany, Tim, Briggs, Gage, Campbell and Emerson,

What a delight to have my daughter home. As she departed the plane yesterday, I had an overwhelming lump in my throat and thought my god, she has grown and is so beautiful. Hattie had a play date and Tom was home sick, so together we ran errands and went out for dinner. It was a special evening as we relaxed and the stories spilled out. ” Mom, I feel so close to Tiffany now and it was wonderful having the time to really get to know her.” “Boy she is a great mother.” She also thinks I am a great eater. I tried a lot of new things and really liked them. “Can we get cheese tortellini?” “Can we make grilled cheese with pepperoni?”
One night when Tiffany was running, Briggs asked her if he may I have an apple cut up and peeled. Ok she said and then began the 45 minute process of tring to peel the apple with a knife. Half way through he asked are ya done yet? The next night when he asked, she reached for the vegetable peeler and as you would peel a cucumber she was able to peel the apple. “I figured it out Mom!” “You should have seen Gage when Tim arrived home.” “He was filled with so much excitement he pulled Tim in every direction.” “It was precious.” “I loved watching Campbell and Emerson as they are such good babies.” “Mom, when we went horse back riding we got to trot!” The stories go on and on!

Thank you for making Mina’s first experience away from home so rewarding. She has grown, matured and has a wonderful self confidence about her.

Yes, we will make this an annual event! Have a wonderful time together as a family. Tim please take care and our prayers are with you. Tiffany, we are here if you need anything.

    With Love, Kathy

  2. Hi Tiffany,

Thank you for such a wonderful time. My mom loved the headband that we had got and she loved the nail polish color that were on my toes. Tiffany I will miss you so much, but we shall look forward to the next time we will see each other. Also, it was so good to see Tim. (It was a BIG treat.) It was so funny watching all the kids wanting him. Also, thank you for my NEW order at starbucks. A venti passion iced tea, with two pumps of sweetner (regular or melon.) I liked the melon sweetner the best. Anyways about that drink, we can’t forget the 1/4 cup of ice! So, however I have been talking to my mom like crazy. I think she was getting annoyed!! I told her a lot of stories, I told her about the food. I even told her how wonderful you are. Tiffany, remember when you asked me ‘am I a good mother’ well you were such a good mother. Your great with the girls, and great with the boys. My, mom was puting me to bed last night and she said, “Mina, I am SO proud to be your mother.” And I said to her, “Well mom, I am SO proud to be your daughter.” And what I am going to say to you, “Tiffany, I am SO proud to be your cousin.” And for one thing I know for a fact, that there are to of the best moms in the world, you and my mom.

Say hi to Campbell, Emerson, Briggs, Gage and Tim for me!!

    I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
