Great celebration

We had the most interesting group of people together for a great celebration this weekend. The girls fully indulged in their birthday cake at which point we hosed them down in the backyard.

Special thanks to…My Aunt Caroline and Uncle Wally for visiting from Cleveland. They are the best people…truly. We love spending time with them…they are generous, kind, and super fun. My cousin, Suzy, for visiting from Miami. My abs hurt from laughing so hard…I seriously cannot recall the last time I laughed as much. Betsy and Andy for driving from Cincinnati to visit for a few hours. Tim’s brother, Mark, and his family for visiting from Nashville…proper beatings were given (heehee)! And as a reminder for Evane…no black!  Ken Rood for killing the growing wasp nest under my deck.  Norm and Mike for jumping my van with the kids fully loaded.  Amie Cramer for her continuous patience with Briggs phone calls to Jack. Syliva Duplainter for the cutest double chair I have ever seen.

And…I cannot forget to mention Tim’s favorite pepperoni bread that was specially shipped in dry ice by my Aunt Caroline to Tim several weeks ago. It arrived resembling a softball but tasted just the same!

  2. What can I say, it was a fabulous celebration and it was tons of fun to see those two girls eat cake! After this weekend I realize you live in a great neighborhood - everyone was so friendly. I too laughed a lot, however not enough to get the washboard abs I wanted! Anyways looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me since Stacy and I might embark on a great business opportunity, maybe I should move to Indianapolis…

  4. Thanks for having us. We had a great time hanging out with you and Aunt Caroline, Uncle Wally & Suzy. They are a hoot! We’re glad we got to be there for the girls’ first birthday; they’re just so fun! Also, thanks for remembering Mark’s birthday with the bonus cake, showing us a little culture by taking us to the symphony, and for Evane’s makeup tips. We’ll see if they stick. Hope to see you again soon to pass out more beatings ;)

  6. What a great celebration. The girls loved massaging the cake through their hair. There was a lot of love in that group, but the one person we all missed was Major Tim. The crazy photos should help him share in the fun and joy of the day.
