My sidekick
Briggs is becoming such a good kid. I, honestly, have been concerned at times that my kids aren’t going to turn out respectful, confident, loving, generous, hardworking and kind. But Briggs is demonstrating some outstanding qualities lately that give me great confidence in the future. So I am adding this to my running list of ‘Good Things’.
I recently traveled alone to Cleveland with my clan. I could not have done the road trip without Briggs. He was invaluable. He completely managed the back of the van while I drove. If one of the twins dropped a pacifier or needed a toy, he handed it to them. If one of the girls were crying, he would sing to them. And most importantly, he did this all without even being asked.
I love my little side kick!
Briggs hasn’t worn this costume in a long time. It was evident when he put it on because it was probably five inches too short. In any case, I thought it was sweet that he wanted to look like his dad. It is just like the flight suits pilots wear.

Hi Briggzee,
You look really cool in your flight suit!
I appreciate you helping Mommy with your sisters and Gage! I miss playing baseball, light sabers, wrestling and XBox360 with you!
Hopefully you enjoyed the MRE postcard. I’ll be sending you a Spiderman comic book tomorrow.
I love you,
