No Slump
Okay…I will admit it…I kind of got in a slump today. Maybe because the one month mark is approaching. Maybe because it was the last day of school and I am fearing everyone being home all of the time. Or maybe it is because everyone seems to be running a fever and I have had very little sleep. But I promised I would end all days on a positive note reflecting on The Good Things. And there is so much to be thankful for.
Today, our neighbors were incredible. Seriously…incredible! Tom and Maureen Peterson arrived with their five-year-old triplets in tow, totally unannounced, and stained our playset. This is AFTER Tom had already made several previous repairs to it. I looked out the back and there they are staining away. It was so thoughtful of them.
Then, Janelle and Judy decide they are going to take the youngest three to the park so that I can volunteer at Briggs’ last-day-of-school party. I mean it takes special people to offer to take three kids two and under to the park! I even got a trip to Costco in.
Then, our dear friends, Joel Peigh and Mark Kiefer, who own HomeZone (an awesome handy man service), sent their lawn service boy over to mow my lawn. They promised Tim they would take care of the lawn the entire time he was deployed. He also was able to fix my pantry light while he was here.
And, I cannot forget Sheryl Chelovitz who again brought me a simple, yet delicious dinner. She is a great friend with an enormous heart.
So…really there should be no slump! I was seriously blessed today.
Oh! Happy 15th Birthday to our favorite nephew, Saxon! He seriously has no bigger fan than Briggs. This image was taken of Tim’s brother, Mark, his wife, Terry, and his children, Saxon and Evane.
That’s a great picture! Happy birthday Sax!
